My name is Tama, and I am a 21 year old college student. Currently, I am studying graphic design at the University of North Texas, but I do plenty of painting and illustration on the side!
I am also the co-administrator of Young Mineral Collectors, an organization dedicated to fostering passion for minerals within the younger generations.
Crystal and mineral collecting has always been a great love of mine; I started my current collection five years ago, but I’ve spent my whole life admiring the beauty of minerals! I started out collecting little polished Labradorites and small fossils, but now I am slowly curating a wonderful miniature collection, with minerals from all over the world (but especially southern Africa.)
I started photographing minerals in the summer of 2019, and I began painting mineral specimens in late 2019. Recreating the beauty of minerals in art is an incredibly rewarding experience. I hope you enjoy viewing my artwork as much as I enjoy making them!
